For those who do not own or wish to use resident pc programs such as Movie Maker, the website Animoto.com provides an easy way to create book trailers. It only takes a few minutes from start to finish and it even offers a wide range of copyright-free music tracks as to complete your little masterpiece with added flair. A free subscription allows you to create a 30 second trailer that requires only a half dozen images. You can export it to Youtube also if you wish, if you have an account there. Take a look at the trailer I’ve created for my debut novel, The Necklace of Goddess Athena:
A word of advice: Use only images that you own the copyrights for or have permission to use. Alternatively, download free stock images from the web. I used the site Morguefile but there are lots out there.
Go on, try it for yourself, it’s fun! Visit Animoto now to sign up and get creative!
I haven’t had to make a trailer yet, but I do appreciate this. I’ll be there someday. 🙂

I have a website on how to create a book trailer. The focus of the site is on writing the content of the trailer, not on the mechanics of how to assemble it. http://booktrailer101.info/course/
