Dreamshifter final cover300x200

BLURB (Book 1)

Amy. Pretty, intelligent, with newly acquired superhuman skills, she lives in a historic Miami waterfront estate. She’s about to discover that isolation, youth and extraordinary abilities may not be enough when someone wants you dead…

Ready for a new kind of urban fantasy? In Unelmoija: The Dreamshifter a pretty yet ordinary young woman’s life is transformed beyond her imaginings when a traumatic incident changes her forever. An unexpected encounter with the father she never knew and a mysterious man that repels and attracts her at the same time leads her to discover she’s not who she thinks she is.

 BLURB (Book 2)

As college friends Amy, Krissa and Lilly head to South Beach for a girls weekend they have no idea of the evil that lurks in plain sight. When Lilly goes missing Amy and Krissa discover they’re the only ones that might be able to save her by using Amy’s superhuman abilities. They pick up Lilly’s trail only to be swept up in a life and death conflict larger and darker than they imagined. An unexpected encounter turns the stakes in their favor briefly before they find out the daunting odds they face to find and rescue Lilly before slavers sell her and she disappears. To make matters worse, Amy may have broken the Weeia’s highest law and used her abilities in front of humans.

In book two of the Weeia series, Unelmoija: The Mindshifter, Amy’s courage is put to the test. The Weeia, others like her who live extra long lives and have superhuman abilities, will not get involved in human affairs, even to save lives. Will her new found allies, human and Weeia, help her? What of Duncan, her love interest? What will become of Amy if she’s captured? Who is the half demented man torn between killing and hugging her? She must rely on herself and others to save her friend and escape.

Welcome to my blog, Elle!

Thank you Fros, I am delighted to be here!

Who are the Weeia?

The Weeia (pronounced way-yah) are similar to you or me in most ways, except that they have superhuman abilities and live long lives. Fearing humans, they live hidden among us. Your neighbor, banker, boss or doctor, even a person you’ve known all your life could be Weeia. Their super abilities vary by type and strength. They fall into four main categories: Emotional, Material, Mental, and Temporal.

Sounds intriguing, I must say! Describe your workstation to us. Are there any favourite objects you have there for inspiration?

A cluttered desk with a large screen monitor, three small stuffed animals who egg me on when I’m sluggish, and a water view for inspiration.

Do you listen to music while you write and if so, what kind?

I need quiet to write. When I take a break, music is a pleasure I enjoy. The kind varies with my mood.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

All the superpowers in one superpower 😉

What were your most and least favourite subjects in school?

That was a long time ago, in another galaxy. I think History and Biology were favs and Physics and Math less so.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learnt so far in life the hard way?

That I can only change myself!

Choose one person in your life to whom you can tell almost anything without fear of judgment.

My husband. He’s a wonderful, kindred soul.

If you could choose another profession, other than the one you are in, which would you choose?

There are so many intriguing occupations! Perhaps in another life I would be a doctor.

What are the things in your life that you’re most grateful for?

Good health, a wonderful husband, and the presence of mind to appreciate both.

How would you like to be remembered?

Any way they choose!

Who is your favorite poet? Quote a couple of lines from your favourite poem.

Here’s a favorite quote by Antoine de Saint Exupéry from The Little Prince:

“Here is my secret. It is very simple. It is only with the heart that one can see rightly;

What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

Thank you very much Elle and best of luck with your writing!

Thank you for this interview Fros – same to you!
